This, in my eyes, is the quintessential Sports Racing Model. The 'Gulf' color scheme is an absolute classic, and the detail and finish of this piece is excellent. Minichamps get their reputation because of products like this.

The McLaren F1 is a rare and wonderful example of what Sportscar GT racing could be. It is a true dream car that actually was produced for the general public, and could be raced sucessfully. Having the McLaren legacy attached to it makes it even even more special. While its time has just about passed as a LeMans contender, it will be remembered as the car that epitomized the 90's.

There are many McLaren F1 models produced by Minichamps, and collecting them is a legitimate sub-genre. The detail is excellent, and the graphics are stunning in both original design and reproduction. Here is a compiled list of models that are known to exist:
